In 1914, Benjamin Arthur Banker joined Colbert Coldwell as a full partner. Coldwell Banker Pro Co is associated with the Crosbie Group of Companies, one of the oldest firms in Newfoundland involved at various times in shipping, fishing, insurance, and various financial services sectors. Two of its sister companies for years had been involved in land development (Virginia Holdings) and property management (Atlantic Property Management). It was, therefore, logical to compliment the full spectrum of real estate property services already offered by these two companies by forming a real estate marketing arm. Thus, the formal launching of Property Consultants Limited (Pro Co) in August 1991.The objective, both then and now, is the assembling of a knowledgeable and experienced team of real estate professionals, each with his/her area of expertise, to address clients' marketing objectives, both residential and commercial, through a concerted office approach to the marketing process.
Within one year of its inception PRO CO was successful in acquiring the Coldwell Banker franchise, a highly renowned real estate company with offices throughout North America, and, in January 1994 had reached another milestone by formally establishing an Industrial Commercial and Investment Division within the organization. This step has enabled us to utilize our agents' expertise to their full potential, as well as to provide our clients with the best service available in the I.C. & I. Industry. Most recently, in July 1999, Coldwell Banker Pro Co acquired the exclusive franchise rights for Coldwell Banker Commercial for Newfoundland and Labrador. Currently we are the largest Coldwell Banker franchises in the province.
From a humble beginning of four seasoned agents in August of 1991, Coldwell Banker Pro Co has now grown into a major recognizable force of 38 licensed Realtors® with the common objective of providing professional service to their clients. Since joining the Coldwell Banker system, we have grown our business to achieve Premier Status Award with Coldwell Banker in 1997. In the first quarter of 1998, we achieved #1 Office in Canada for our office size category and since then have consistently ranked in the Top 5 Offices in Canada on a quarterly basis. With the combined network and referral service of over three thousand Coldwell Banker offices globally, over two hundred and fifty of which are in Canada, we are able to deliver a proven and tangible advantage to all our clients.
