Portugal Cove-St. Philip's

Portugal Cove-St. Philip's is a rural seashore community located on the eastern Avalon Peninsula in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s was amalgamated in 1992, and is home to an estimated 6,000 people. Just 10 – 15 minutes from the provincial capital, and covering 56.43 km², Portugal Cove-St. Philips is a rapidly growing community, and one of the largest municipalities in the Province. It borders the Capital City of St.John's to the east, and the town of Paradise to the west. The town’s population is fairly young with an average age of 33.2 years. Most people work outside the community, commuting to St. John's or Mount Pearl daily.

Torbay is a town located on the eastern side of the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador Canada. The town is located north of the capital city of St. John's and is part of the St. John's Metropolitan Area. Due to the Torbay's close proximity with St. John's, the town's population is quickly growing. According to the 2006 Census the population was 6,281 up 14.7% since 2001 which made Torbay the second fastest growing community in the province. The town's area measures 38.44 square kilometres and is mostly a bed and breakfast community with the majority of the residence commuting to the capital city for work each day. The towns economy is driven mostly by industries that serve the residents such as; a grocery store, convenience stores, doctors offices, hair salons, real-estate offices and restaurants among others.

Flatrock & Pouch Cove
Flatrock has a population of 1,214 as recorded by the 2006 Census. The Town is situated 12 kilometres northwest of the capital city of St. John's   

Pouch Cove is located on the northeast Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador. The town is a 20-25 minute drive to St. John's, the Capital City of the province. Pouch Cove was founded many centuries ago and has an active council within the town. It was officially incorporated in 1970. The post office was established in 1975. It is said that Pouch Cove is the "first to see the sun" rise in North America.
